Waitrose – Kleenex Eye Make Up Removal (24 pack) – £2.99

Kleenex has always been a brand I’ve associated with ill health and snotty noses ever since I was young. Until I found these beauties in Waitrose and also available in other supermarkets/Superdrug. I have to be honest, I bought them for two reasons:

Reason 1 – They were on offer at the time with 1/3 off the original price, I will let you do the maths.

Reason 2 – The packaging is so pretty and eye catching that they were bound to end up in my basket sooner or later. Also I quite liked that Kleenex had cleverly created a symbolic design on the packaging – A mask is sometimes referred to as make up, so it’s quirky, thought provoking and I like it.

Taking my make up off is always a chore, as for many other girls out there. My most common faults with make up removal wipes is they either seem to leave my skin untouched, which is completely defeating the object of the wipe in the first place. But most commonly, they feel really quite abrasive and scratchy on my skin. So finding these super soft wipes was a miracle find. As far as I am concerned they are the best on the market for softness, unless you use baby wipes. I felt my skin was fresh after using, yet my skin did not feel stripped of moisture. Promotion or not, I will be buying this product again.

A bonus for the environmentally friendly, is that they have lower environmental impact than a normal wipe – woo.

  1. Interesting. I’ll keep an eye out for these. I always thought of the wipes as very stripping for your skin, but it seems like these work pretty well. How well would you say they worked on getting off eye makeup? That’s always the ultimate test of a remover. I would agree with the associating Kleenex with being sick. LOL. I guess they are trying to branch out.

    • Thanks for your comment Samantha.

The eye remover wipes (the small pink packet) are alot better for taking off the mascara but, the super soft wipes do the trick and are really gentle on the eye, just takes a little while longer as i wear waterproof mascara.

Let me know what you think when you give them a try.

Go on, make my day and leave me a comment. I read every single one. Thanks!! x
