I’m having my room re-decorated over the Easter period, so I have been on the hunt lately for some home furnishings. I ordered the Cath Kidston bed linen on Monday as the majority is in the sale, and I don’t want to miss out on a bargain. I managed to save £25.00 overall and qualified for free delivery.
The other furnishings on my mood board are things that I feel will brighten my room. I have two large pillars either side of my window which limit the light availability. By adding plants and a big statement light, it will hopefully open up the room. The ikea light also projects little flowers on the walls of the room – how cute.
I would say my room style at the moment is a bit of everything. No two floral patterns match, as my bed linen print is pink roses, and my wallpaper is green hibiscus flowers. Not to mention the tons of shabby chic nik-naks throughout. In hindsight, I went shabby chic mad! So I am excited to get rid, and start a fresh in my room. Just in time for Spring.
I love the acrylic drawers from John Lewis, I will either utilise this for make up, or organise my ever-growing jewellery collection. I am also a big fan of the large photo frame from Next. I have around 6 – 8 frames scattered around my room already, so I can get rid of my nikky-nak frames and make some more space. Am I going to minimalistic – we shall see. I will post the end result soon!
Anyone else having a new-spring-do?
